Herbert Armstrong's book the Mystery of the Ages was written to explain the plan of God in an format which was easy to read. This book was published and given away to any of Armstrong's listener who asked for it, as well as sold in hard cover. Although withdrawn from publication by Armstrong's church, copies of it may still be found in second hand book stores.
