Each of these audio tapes has been encoded in RealAudio, which provides audio quality comparable to audio cassettes, and also gives a file which is small enough to be easily copied from the CD and attached to an email message. Files with this encoding are often used on web servers to make audio material available to anyone on the Internet.
Listening to these audio files is done by the use of a browser such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Netscape's Navigator. A RealAudio player (or plugin) is also required which "plugs into" the browser. Your browser might already have the required plugin, so check before installing any new software by trying to play any of audio files on this CD.
If you need to install RealAudio, a copy of the installation file is provided on this CD Here. Clicking this link will ask you if you want to save the installation file or open it. You'll need to open it. Alternatively, you may go into My Computer, then into the CD Drive that hosts this disk. There is a file named 'realplayer.exe'. Double clicking on that file will also begin installing Real Audio.
Keep in mind that you do not need an active internet connection in order to use this CD, only a browser which supports RealAudio.
Test your setup by clicking here for a 5 second greeting message. Mr. Armstrong often challenged people to believe their Bibles (believe.rm) and spent his entire life speaking strongly (cryaloud.rm) about the sins of our peoples, and proclaiming the true gospel (truegos.rm) of Christ. Any of these small files can easily be sent as an attachment to your next email message.
The radio broadcasts refer to many booklets. None of this material is available or published any longer by the church Armstrong founded. That church, now called the Worldwide Church of God, officially states that Armstrong taught heresy and error. As an example of this view, a March 1998 church article supporting the Trinity dismissed Armstrong's teachings against that doctrine by calling them an "unbiblical legacy". Of the printed materials mentioned during the radio broadcasts on this CD, a few may still be available, but they have been totaly rewritten to reflect the church's present point of view. For this reason, the text of many of those booklets have been included on this CD.
If you would like to send one of these audio files to a friend, simply attach the desired file to your email message. However, please note the size of the file. A half hour radio program is around 1.8 megabytes in size and even more when encoded as an email attachment. Depending upon the speed of your internet connection, it may take 10 or 20 minutes to transfer this one file onto the internet from your PC and back again at the receiving end. High-speed connections often will take less time than this.s You should also be aware that some Internet Services Providers restrict the size of email messages either for sending or receiving. Having said all that, you can test the procedure very simply by sending a test file (e.g. greeting.rm) and making sure it plays correctly when it gets to recipient. You might start your testing by send it to yourself.
* Mr. Armstrong was not a prophet. It was not given to him the total understanding of prophecy. As time has progressed, the Church of God grew in its understanding of prophecy. The reader is strongly advised to reference the booklet "Time Has Run Out" by Ron Weinland to further understand prophecy, especially the Seven Seals.
All of these audio files are 30 minutes in length unless otherwise noted.

"What is the Worldwide Church of God" Television Broadcast (5/19/1984):
This broadcast is perhaps the best possible introduction to what the Worldwide Church of God was all about. It illustrates what, why, and how the Church did what it did.
Numerous individuals have tried to replicate the work done by the Worldwide Church of God, and have failed miserably. Many splinter organizations (or perhaps better called sects) exist and are 'lost' essentially, publishing and preaching only superficial, shallow covering of 'Christian Living' topics which can be read in any stereotypical Christian magazines. Others have been moved from their foundational doctrinal truths.
As Mr. Armstrong states in this broadcast, Revelation 3 shows seven successive church eras. The Worldwide Church of God occupied the sixth era- Philadelphia. In this passage it states that God has opened a door that no man can shut, and when it is closed no man can open it. God opened the doors for Mr. Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God to perform an end-time task (preaching the gospel into all the world as a witness). That door has now been shut, that is why the hundreds of splinter groups of Worldwide have all failed to produce the same results as Mr. Armstrong.

Comments on "Zerubabbel's Temple" Bible Study:
This bible study is truly indicative of the late 70s and early 80s before the death of Herbert W. Armstrong. In it he expresses much frustration with the membership of Worldwide and especially the ministers, questioning frequently just how many of the brethren and ministers "get it." As one listens to it, people should consider the following questions:
